1.Commissioning of new formulation plants (India)
2.Introducing new products into existing plants (by reconfiguration & modifications)
3.Launching existing & new special products in tolling sites (SPD, Extruder, SC)
4.Scale up of New Products from R&D to Pilot to Plant
5.Process Re-engineering of existing formulations
The commissioning demand in new plants as well as tolling sites has increased considerably, where we would require people with good process knowledge and operational experience, so that the handover from projects to operations is smooth. The aim will be to bring out quality, cost-effective product in the shortest possible time, thereby providing UPL the competitive advantage.
Similarly, we have lot of formulation development activities once the product is launched, where in it will be required to improve efficiency, yield improvement, reduce batch cycle time, capacity enhancement, etc.
Commissioning (for new products)
Collaborating closely with Projects and R&D for commissioning of new plants
Ensuring the new plant reaches rated capacity by debottlenecking.
Collaborating closely with Contract Manufacturing team for stabilizing outputs and quality in job work / tolling sites
Pilot plant scale up
To make MSDS for all new products
Collaborate between stake holders for new products (Commercialization)
Basic engineering package for New Products in existing plants by modifications
Safety data for new products
Compile Technology transfer package
Process Engineering (for existing products)
Formulation recipe improvement on existing products
Trouble shooting in production plant and reduce NCM
Mass Balance, Energy Balance, Utility Calculations
Provide technical solutions to the plant for property related complaints
Optimize Raw Materials (Alternate vendors, Reduction, Substitution)
Batch cycle time reduction
Desired Candidate Profile
15-20 years of experience in Process Engineering / Process Improvement with any manufacturing setup (chemical / pharma / FMCG).
Should be leading a team of process engineers.
BE Chemical Engineering or ME Chemical Engineering from reputed college
Internal: Production, Maintenance, R&D, Contract Manufacturing team, Projects.
External:Senior consultants guiding the technical team
Should have excellent inter personal skills and should be able to play a strong interface between R&D, Projects and Manufacturing
Should be able to lead of sharp & young process engineers, guide & motivate them.
Should have strong ability to influence stakeholders
Should possess the ability to understand the business requirements and align the process improvement strategies with the business requirements
Should have excellent analytical skills and should be able to anticipate the technical & other issues the plant may face and work on it proactively.
Process Improvement with any manufacturing setup (chemical / pharma / FMCG).
UG:B.Tech/B.E. in Chemical
PG:M.Tech in Chemical
